Cartotecnica Moderna SB views certifications as tools that align what we declare with what we do, measurable expressions of the care we dedicate every day to people, processes and the environment.
Each certification stems from a conscious choice, fully aligned with our “With Care” vision: a vision that unites beauty, responsibility and shared value.

Respect for nature is at the core of our identity.
The FSC® certification ensures that the paper materials we use come from responsibly managed and traceable forests. For Cartotecnica Moderna SB, which works with the most iconic raw material of our craft — paper — this was a natural step. It means turning respect for Nature into an operational choice, shared with suppliers and clients, and reinforcing an ethical supply chain where every box also tells a story of environmental commitment.

Our quality is a promise of trust. The ISO 9001 certification attests that every process — from design to production to delivery — is managed according to strict criteria of control, traceability and continuous improvement. For CM, quality is more than a technical standard: it is a culture, an attitude, and an act of will. It means transforming craftsmanship into method, creativity into system, and attention to detail into a guarantee for the client. Most importantly, it means nurturing our Talents and their professional growth. This certification was chosen to provide a measurable framework for excellence and to ensure that every packaging solution reflects the same precision that distinguishes the brands CM collaborates with.

Integrated Sustainability in Processes.
The ISO 14001 standard certifies the company’s commitment to monitoring and reducing the environmental impact of its activities, implementing management systems that prevent waste and promote efficiency. For Cartotecnica Moderna, environmental certification is a natural extension of its vision of “responsible beauty”: combining aesthetic quality with planetary stewardship. It has enabled the company to consolidate an already established path, including traceable materials, waste reduction, and suppliers selected based on green criteria, while transparently measuring progress.

Cartotecnica Moderna SB has embarked on a program to monitor, analyze, and optimize its greenhouse gas emissions, both at the organizational level and for individual products. At the organizational level, work follows the guidelines of the international standard ISO 14064-1, while individual products are assessed according to ISO 14067. Additionally, for product-level analysis, the company is developing a digital calculation tool that keeps the emissions associated with each individual product constantly updated.
In 2025, Cartotecnica Moderna SB began the journey toward B Corp® certification, in line with its identity as a Benefit Corporation. This path allows the company to measure and communicate transparently the impact it generates on people, communities and the environment. With B Corp® certification, CM aims to reinforce an already deeply rooted identity: a company that creates beauty and builds the future.

The company has also pursued Gender Equality certification, in accordance with Legislative Decree 162/2021 and UNI/PdR 125:2022 guidelines. This initiative continues the foundational value of caring for people, translating it into a structured system of fairness, balance and inclusion. It formalizes what is already part of CM’s culture: trust, active listening and mutual respect.
Being certified means taking responsibility for continuous improvement. Every audit, every review, and every new standard is an opportunity to grow, making beauty not only a product attribute but also an organizational, environmental and human achievement. In this sense, certifications are an integral part of the “With Care” project and the 2025–2028 Impact Plan, guiding the company toward a more sustainable, transparent, and shared future.
